Been awhile since I posted anything related to Warhammer 40k, let alone a Tau battlesuit. I’ve been reviewing and reviving my older work to have more gear – suggesting improvements over the years. Whilst I await some new recruits in really fancy suits. For now, this is just an update showing on suit that has been positioined to launching forward with fixed weapon hardpoints on the arms.

A few touch ups after refitting, then good to go play and slay.

I’ve been dabbling in 15mm miniatures for awhile and recently found some time to finish up my first modified mecha for my human forces. I showed a preview of it here, and now; about 90% complete. It requires some final highlights and markings – which overall – mean very little about the final piece now.

I’ve been dabbling with this idea for awhile, but merely slapping on a tau torso and some pulse rifles didn’t quite fit with me. I’ve seen a couple of variations of this about the internet – but most seem to shove them into the force rather than have them as varied addition.

Hi All,
Well modeller’s eye struck again (15mm miniatures one that is) a couple of days ago when I passed a broken toy discarded in the street – the tail section leapt out at me – it looked like a stealth UAV wing form. I just had to have it.
Last night I finalised the look of the craft, adding a 20mm gun pod, sensor package domes, some panel lines and a fair amount of judicious sanding (particularly after an abortive alignment drilling). I also put in to plugs on the top …

I’ve recently torn out the pages of my rather scripted hobby exsistance for the goal of free form modelling. 15mm is mostly to blame, being able to mix and match all sorts of models and create a cohesive force unified in paint and scale.
It has been enjoyable and presently I am painting some Khurasan exterminator models.
That all said, I’ve picked up some large models and summarily, torn them to pieces.. what mad ideas have I dreamt up? I’ll let you wonder, but the certainty is this – I’m enjoying just …
