Upon the shoulders of gian- err.. goblins..

Some folks know I’m a major fan of Warhammer Quest and have been building a zoo of beasties to entertain my heroes when they decide to dungeon dive for treasures untold.
Having a range of goblins that lacked the gigantism of current GW offerings was a big issue (cough). I went so far as to use 40k Grot heads (same sculptor as fantasy ones, but oddly.. smaller) on my Goblins and then Night Goblin arms to make them even more slender. It worked quite well:

Next was Orcs, and again.. whacky features. …

Looking for Group, need DPS, RNG..

I always enjoy the energy from completing a miniature to ones satisfaction. Completing Adalhein prior to grubbing his clothes was one of those moments. Couldn’t resist snapping a photo of him, the Barabrian and the Knight’s Squire as a small party.

I’ve chosen Adal to be part of a militia founded in Middenheim; hence the blue and white notes. His brother in arms is from Talabecland, sounded the right place for a burly man to have originated. That and his livery is a fetching Empire style.
Currently work in progress, painting them all clean.. then messing them up!
Do you have any suggestions …

Double Trouble

I’ve long wanted to create a duo of characters for Warhammer Quest games. Not so much ‘Laural & Hardy’, more ‘Tango and Cash’ with some grimdark fantasy. So on returning from Thailand (wow, was that fun exploring) I had a weekend to myself – so out with the boxes and tools; straight into some modelling!
I ended up creating two Empire fighters, survivors from a ravaged company during wars in the north. They have survived the trip home, but soon the mundane routine of daily life in …
