WOW, those are some great modifications and paint jobs. How long have you been in the game? and how did you make that urban 88? it looks like it has the 2+ armor save, and i love the replacement rail-guns. I am also very impressed with your twin liked flamer piece if i was losing inspiration to continue building and painting my tau you’ve restored it!

your models are amazing, and i love how you used the cyan to highlight the models.

    Thanks Firetide :)

I’ve been playing 40k and painting for nigh on 18 years (on and off) The Urban XV88 uses parts from space marine vehicles (carefully cut) to add chunkiness to the XV. Thanks on the TL FLamer! My first ever Tau modification :)

Appreciate the feedback, send me photos when you have the time of your own stuff!

Seb, may I ask what bits you used for the XV 88 Rail Guns, they look really cool, and I would love to use them on my XV 88′s if it’s okay with you.

Thank you for the link, that was great and very informative. I’ll send a few images once i’m done with highlighting and shadowing them it’s my first army. (second paint scheme) the first one was with the recessed lines a bright red with grey and black for the rest.. i didn’t like how they turned out so i’m repainting them codex to improve my skills. I plan to make a lava themed army, thus the name “Firetide.”

Those 88’s are much more tau than the ones GW is producing. :D
