History of Eastern Empire Tau
This site has been created to showcase my personal Tau collection after much encouragement by fellow collectors. Normally my cadre resides as a sub-site to my Scythes of the Emperor Space Marines website, but traffic and interest deemed them to have their own space.
Coinciding with the launch of the website, my cadre was published as an Army Showcase in White Dwarf 313 (Jan.06) in Australia and in White Dwarf 1 in Canada (June 06), then White Dwarf 319 in the USA (July 06). I know it made a difference as I went from 200 hits to 45,000 in a week. Now I feel justified in buying a higher bandwidth than normal. Recently (September 2006) my second White Dwarf article was published in the Australian White Dwarf, issue 321.
The idea of Eastern Empire, besides showcasing my modelling efforts, is to pass on tips and ideas that I figure out as I go. Also, I wish to display the best of Tau modelling and ideas that I find on the web, basically becoming a good site for resource based on the Tau Empire. Further I hope to explore Eastern concepts, the visuals and stories which have inspired the creation of the Tau. I have a personal interest in the Orient and the cultures living there. So expect anything from thoughts on asian writing styles to manga videos I recommend.
At this moment I am building up the content but for now you can be assured in finding interesting items in most categories. Enjoy your browsing and thank you for visiting Eastern Empire.
