Age of Sigmar, the Undead Battle Nun concept art and model
|
And now, an undead Battle Nun. This great piece by @philiphelliwell caught my eye recently and my internal model bitsbox catalog spun into action. Another concept art piece, much like Chris Walton’s Empire halberdier I did recently, has been cause for inspiration.
Multiple parts checked off mentally and pow; I’ve got the broad strokes for a Warhammer version of this tragic hero. Quick synopsis of Philip’s background; she was a Templar cursed to undeath, but as long as her faithful (undead) servant remains at her side with holy lanterns, she is able to keep the call at bay and continue to fight on.
The Light Bearer. As long as his charge is bathed in the Light of Sigmar, The ethereal and deadly banshee warrior priest will seek out the undead and dispatch them with undeath gifted abilities; should he lag behind or stumble? Well, it takes time, time and invariably lives, to bind her back to the beacons anew.
A more simple model this time for the Light Bearer, the companion to the undying Templar created by @philiphelliwell
She will be a great addition to any Order aligned host I decide to play in Age of Sigmar.
Wow that is great! Very different from the usual fare, and seems like it could have some interesting in game choices too. (kill the lantern bearer!)
Thanks LP – Aye and potentially she drifts away forever under the sway of the Undead King. Thats of course if you even get by her 😉
If i could buy that model in a shop i would instantly. very nice job Sebastian
