The Goblin Warband United
|All the red accents in one place, the Warband starts to come together. One could say they have united for a common preference for Red?
Also, I’ve decided to go with black rims on the bases. The all brown originals were not allowing the Goblins to stand out (with predominantly leather and wood tones) – I feel this looks sharper now.
I think I may have to do an End Times format roster guide to the force – help folks learn more about what started as a dozen ramshackle goblins to fight Warhammer Quest Heroes.
Only need a dozen he said..
Thanks for dropping in again!
Sebastian 😀

These are so cool. I am really enjoying this series of goblin posts. I never liked GW goblins, but this is making want to go out and get my own goblin army. Great job! and keep posting!
Thanks Timothy! 🙂 I wasn’t much of a fan myself, until I started kitbashing using all the Grot, Gnoblar and Goblin kits. Judging by recently shown concept art from 2007, there was a goblin regiment akin to the Night Goblins in the works, but they do not seem to have gone ahead with it. And definitely shall keep posting about the project 🙂
Looking great! Black rims help to separate the figure and ground work from the base, and conversely are less noticeable when playing.
Thanks LP 🙂 It is an interesting visual effect isn’t it? When I do a big photo on the table board should be interesting to see as an army 🙂
Seb, just had a thought…you should look at the new Blood Bowl goblins as a basis for new armor-clad goblins.
I have indeed spied those lads, whilst not a fan of the faces, definitely conversion potential. I’m counting pennies to pick up a team to chop up for such an idea. Great minds et al! 😀
More!
I’m most excited about this project of yours and can’t wait to see the final result.
How did you collect so many mountain-gobbo helmets? Kitbashing greenskins is great since they haven’t changed all that much in the distant future of 40k.
Thanks man! The gobbo helmets – a fair bit of patience, but I sped the process up greatly when I discovered an Orc helmet used -exactly- the same furry finish. And those.. those were plentiful in bitz stores. Every unique head conversion (expect the original 40k grot helmet guy) uses a goblin head and this helm topper. In retrospect, casting up a sprue would have helped alot hahah 😀
As always a pleasure to look at your work and watch your project grow
Yes I’ve missed this. You should check in on the warseer who page it’s dying a slow death at but some blogs are still going strong 1 in particular. + last time you checked in there you made us promises
Indeed, limited windows for hobby have made me a little focussed. I’ll get some photos together and update the thread! 😀
glad to hear it Sebastian be nice to rekindle our hobby chats again. Life has been hectic for myself as well so updates are slow but a lot is going to come to ahead soon.
