Warhammer 40k, Rogue Trader Space Marine Rhino
|Bought two smashed up Rhinos for scenery but suddenly, I’m thinking – that can buff out’
With a few spare parts and more chipping, I’ve got a new battle taxi for my Rogue Trader Marines. Nothing like an APC that looks like it’s been through, and come out the other side, of hell. Aim here is to paint up a battle worn veteran machine of many battles over the Millennia.
Working on the battle taxi I’ve gone with a muted red, yet still richer than the classic terracotta used in Rogue Trader times. Yeah.. so much for sticking to flat tones haha. Can’t help but dress these classics up a bit. Still using Bronzed Flesh highlights from an originals 90’s pot I have though! Hah 🙂

That is a great red! And the paints are classic for a reason!
I suspect that the overhead handles for the running board did not survive? You could always make replacements out of wire.
THanks man – and you’re right – the handles did not survive, however I do have replacements to add when I’m finished (could forsee a bad hand placement breaking them). Should be a very careful, fiddly job post paint work 😀
