Warhammer 40k Tyranid Carnifex Second Edition
|In a small segue from current projects I finally put together my Tyranid Carnifex Screamer Killer from second edition era.
My first intention, like the Ultramarine Space Marines I have been putting together, is to make the Warhammer 40k second edition era models seem more lively and less static than people recall.
The Screamer Killer in this model is set in place running forward, with one talon in the ground pulling toward the foe, whilst others are in balance or sweeping motion in mid stride. I can’t recall anyone having these with a foot off the ground at the run.
I look forward to painting this figure and the host of classic 1st & 2nd edition Warhammer 40k Tyranids I have collected.
More on these and the Ultramarines soon.
– Sebastian.

Hello mate
It’s a totally random comment, but just wanted to say this post has really inspired me to have a go at modifying the Carnifex I’ve had on my pile for quite some time!
Thats great! Thank you – I’ve found the classic iconic figures are actually really satisfying for modding slightly into new poses. The very first Mk7 Metals are actually full of options, just everyone at the time was used to static poses; like chess pieces. Jes Goodwin was a godsend to 40k figures with his more fluid style.
