Warhammer Giant Spiders
|So my next parts order arrived for more minions to be befitted with feet. I’m gathering quite horde of Spiders…
At this stage I’m going to have to consider modifying the Spiders limbs and begin posing them further for variety. That should be a fiddly process.
Curiously the spiney versions are rare buys via eBay, more often I receive the skull face abdomen and segmented abdomen versions.
So what of the riders? …Well that, that’s for another post! 😉
Anyone seen good conversions using these arachnids?

Smashing stuff, you have a real horde of the spindly things there!
I know hey? Side effect of a horde of befeathered forest goblins 😀
No idea what you have planned, but legs spread out more and based on round cavalry bases could look pretty cool.
Was thinking this, been browsing the web looking for other folks’ clever ideas on the matter. Shall chop up model and use it as a test for various poses 🙂
Also, moving to Mt Eden this weekend, so more city central – should be easier to catch up for a game or two man.
I made a few modified versions on larger round bases… the spiders become much more imposing once you cut the legs apart. (which is actually very easy)
I will see if I can take a couple of pictures, although they are not very exciting in their unpainted state (after years)
Thanks LP – look forward to a glimpse, realising quickly that few folks have modded Forest Goblins in a big way. Any clever tricks are helpful 🙂 You can send images via the “Contact Drone” https://eastern-empire.com/contact-me/ Cheers!
Oh, well I just went ahead and made a blog post. As I mention in the post, the only legs which are hard to separate are the ones that touch the abdomen, the others are pretty easy to slice and bend into position.
