Warhammer Quest, Dwarf Hero
|The beginnings of a Dwarf Ranger it would seem.
So I’ve begun detailing the first of the three Dwarves. He is becoming more of a Ranger type than warrior, but with such “light” armor for a Dwarf, he would likely be comsidered a skirmisher.
On review, I think I’ll get some Hammerer parts for the more solid looking armored gloves for the final of the three. It is obvious I’m using the same gloves even if painted differently. A very rough colour choice below, reminds me of Pathfinder prepaints!
More soon as I progress on a Hero model for a change 🙂
Thanks for reading!

Love that he is laden with gear! Where is his light source though?
Cheers LP 🙂 Hmmm good point, was tempted to do a carrot on a stick style lantern – in the Knight’s party, there is a retainer with torch however. But at this tacked stage with no glue, anything can happen! haha.
Looking good Seb, I haven’t put together a quest model for some time, you may have just inspired me, thanks 🙂
Thanks Daxio – yeah, been focussed on Goblins for too long, nice break of pace 🙂
Pretty cool
Thanks Commissar, early days – but I think the idea has value to pursue. Also, good to read your thoughts, been awhile my man 😀
Been busy with work and haven’t had much time for hobby stuff as of late.
Know that feeling, making the most of a quiet spell between projects. 🙂
How did you make the hood? He looks really cool.
Hi Max, the hood? That is a plastic part from the Empire Mage boxed set. Should be able to find one on a bits website 🙂
Thanks man!
I love the conversion. Where did you get the shield from? The wood really suits a ranger.
Thanks for dropping by 🙂
The Shield? This looks like a medium to large Classic shield from early Warhammer – you can find them floating about eBay still. It is smooth one side and wood the other (smooth being glued to his wrist)
Bit of a deep bits box – sometimes I use old parts I’ve collected for their basic appearance.
