Warhammer Quest, Dwarf Warrior Three Stage
|Every party needs a stout Dwarf Warrior. I’ve come to like the new Dwarf plastics of late but their lack of variety has been tough to enjoy. However, when lining up a three stage character; they’re kinda perfect.
I had to chop beards to match up the armored versions though, thankful to discover there was two styles of beard that had the 3 set of matching braid rings.
A bit flipped about visually for sequence, however first is the full max gear hero, then next; his detailed leather armor, mail and helm version. The last is the starting out Dwarf Warrior. Basic shield with boss, simple hand axe and leather armor over mail. The two earlier versions you might spot, have leather boots, after carving down the armored sabatons.
The two basic shields use icons from the Dwarf regiment sprue banner; allowing me to create dwarvern shield boss with sigils and all. Seemed more appropriate as something a Dwarf adventurer could afford outside a full blown regal regiment.
I’ll be adding pouches etc afterward, but first it was to see if this idea had some merit. Seems good so far 🙂
Three stage hero figures are always cool for RPGs. Does stage three need some sort of horns/crest on that helm though? Seems dwarfy…
Hmmm… food for thought, I have some fifth edition Dwarf horns – potential perhaps!
Looking forward to seeing them all painted up.
Thanks CommissarMoody, me too 🙂
