Warhammer Quest, Knight Rider
|Time to focus on some Bretonnian model projects again.
It has been awhile since I have worked on the Bretonnia element to my Warhammer campaign. Mostly because I have been collecting the parts and models to complete the retinue and warhost over time. To give you an idea, I’ve been carefully collecting men at arms that are mounted and on foot matches like these below:
Moving onto the topic, I’ve begun working on my young knights first mount. A blend of standard warhammer horse, a metal head (Mane to be added), classic 4th edition legs and building up various saddle bags and eventually the torso (seeking a duplicate of the base model).
Plenty of work ahead to blend all the parts with some greenstuff.
In many respects this is the prototype for the whole retinue of riders to come.
In other news, I’ve added a Battlefleet Gothic gallery under my 40k menu 🙂
Thanks for reading,
Sebastian.
I think they will look smashing if they are to be based on the finished chap there, very nice 🙂
Cheers Daxio 🙂 Oh they will indeed, household men at arms and many more to come over time.
I can already see he will be magnificent!
Will he have a valet/squire to ride with him?
Thanks Modhail – in the first couple of games he’s had a couple of retainers watching over him – I think for now I’ll keep that going until we move out of his Errant years. Main issue is, I can’t find mounted versions of those two retainers argh! haha.
Well if there is anyone who can kitash something together it’s probably you
Cheers Huib 😀 😉
This is EXCITING! I really like the possibilities this would provide for a gameplay/story perspective. I can’t wait to see what the crew of retainers will look like with paint and gear on their horses. I mean, they would likely carry more than the knight!
INdeed sir, quite correct. Jean has what he needs at hand, but the real gear is carried by the retainers. Eventually a baggae train, but thats getting ahead of myself. Story wise, I hope you guys will be entertained. 🙂
That’s great! There are some cool wagon mini’s out there!
Very nice looking. Will you go 40mm round for the final product?
Thanks LP, early days for sure. Base wise.. this is a conundrum. I’m tempted to mount on low profile bases actually. Going to experiment. The idea was sparked by the Goblin raiders “self standing” ability, they felt more a part of the environment.
Very nice model, buckets of character
Cheers Rusty – actually working on the greenstuff elements tonight 🙂
