Warhammer Quest, Unaligned Goblins rally
|Well, this week I couldn’t help but add a few more to the warband. It’s actually really good fun scrap building these guys from all sorts of parts.
– Empire Plastics, 5th edition
– Ogre Kingdoms (Scrap Launcher, Ironguts and various kit spotting)
– Vampire Counts Skeleton Warriors (New version)
– Lord of the Rings Orcs (bodies)
– Bretonnian Men at Arms (Accessories)
– Night Goblin bows
– Skaven and Undead pouches
– Kroot Accessories
Gathering all this is tough browsing on the internet, I’d like to shout out to FigFlog in the UK (great single fig resource), Le Gab, Yagdavix and Figurines2Collection for my bits hunting out of France.
Without further preamble; the new gits:
Two Hander brawlers, the left being a rebuild of an original I wasn’t satisfied with. The Right uses the first Lord of the Rings Orc torso conversion with 5th edition Empire Spear hands.
Piker’s – left being almost all Lord of the Rings Orc body, the right lad use a variation Lord of the Rings Torso, Chainmail clipping and undead warrior spear tip.
Two more stikkas’ – I’ve gone a bit comical with the left lad’s hood tail, just for some visual fun. The other lad uses Lord of the Rings Orc Torso and Mordheim arrow hand.
I’m going to concentrate on the Wolf Riders next, this last round of modelling really fills out the unaligned Goblins as a force of raiders to be very wary of. More soon!
Thanks for reading,
Sebastian.
The level which you go to converting stuff is the best! Every model tells a story, and that makes for such a unique and fantastic look. I strive to be like this for my dark angels space marines. I have bits from pretty much every chapter and kit in my force. Keep up the super work, man!
Thank you Dan, appreciated 😀 Dark Angels were my first Marine force, which sadly were lost in the Warp between South Africa and the UK when I was a kid. First Legion and first for my Marine loyalty 😀
Began The Scythes about a year later.
Amazing.
It’s been quite a while, but what are the heads and legs you’ve used here? All gnoblar heads, and the original goblin regiment legs? What did you do with the Lord of the Rings orc arms and legs?
Hi Brian 🙂 Thank you! Yes, all Gnoblar heads, some with Goblin Regiment ears (shaved off that sets’heads).
Legs are all Goblin Regiment too – however odd one out is from Lord of the Rings Orc plastics 🙂
I used the same Orc body (that had those legs) three times too – the arm positions work well for sticking on Night Goblin hands and weapons for the two handed weapons.
Hope that helps! 🙂
These would be awesome counts-as hobgoblins for a chaos dwarfs army.
